SKIN

Skin diseases are getting more and more frequent in the modern world. A child without allergic dermatitis gradually becomes a unique occasion. Adults also suffer more and more from different skin problems including grave conditions that are considered to be incurable: psoriasis, neurodermatitis, eczema, rashes, allergic dermatitis etc. Seemingly not so serious skin diseases, such as acne, blotches and pimples also often cause huge amount of suffering, especially for women. In most of the cases modern medicine prescribes hormonal agents that should be taken both externally and internally. Such treatment alleviates symptoms, but after finishing the course, symptoms tend to come back getting worse and worse.
Furthermore, constant application of hormonal agents leads to serious metabolic imbalances and adverse effects that affect various organs, so that several years later you will have to pay for your clear and young face with ruined health and, in the case of women, often also with infertility.

Ayurveda offers natural and healthy way of curing skin diseases. I have the first-hand experience that proved the effectiveness of this way (since youth I suffered from allergy and neurodermatitis), and so did a lot of my patients.
In the Ayurvedic tradition skin diseases are classified into three groups connected with three Doshas, i.e. Vata, Pitta, and Kapha eczema. So the treatment plan is designed in accordance with the type of your skin disease. But in most of the cases skin diseases affect people with leading Pitta Dosha because this Dosha is responsible for the complexion and the appearance of the skin.

However, irrespectively to the constitutional type of the person, most of skin problems either develop or worsen as the result of ama, intoxication and pollution of the whole body. The key reason of various skin diseases is improper food digestion and/or plenty of amagenic food leading to pollution of the internal environment of a human body, blood in particular, that in its turn brings toxins to the surface of the skin.

Blood is closely connected with liver that acts as a barrier which purifies the blood. Full of toxins, badly operating liver makes skin problems even worse. Sodetoxification and treatment of liver is one of the key ingredients for successful overcoming skin diseases.

Also, skin is connected with blood plasm and, therefore, to lungs. Excessive lungs mucus make skin problems worse. So in many cases detoxification of lungs is also an important part of treating skin diseases.

Consequently, it is absolutely clear why body detoxification in most of the cases gives plentiful results. And the best detoxification method is PANCHAKARMA, the fastest and most profound way of body cleansing. Many patients, even those who suffered from skin problems for many years, notice positive results even during the treatment course.

FEEDBACK

Ruslan, 42, Ukraine
"Constant allergic rash on the body, that couldn't be handled for a long time. I had a 14-day Panchakarma course, and the result was overwhelming!.. All the rash (I mean, ALL) HAS disappeared! Now I have the complexion of a healthy and thriving man! I haven't experienced that for ages!!!"
Olga, 23, Moscow
"The condition of my facial skin left much to be desired (I have tried to treat it with hormonal agents for more than six month with zero result)… on the 6-th Panchakarma day my skin became SIGNIFICANTLY better, I cannot even believe that my skin could be thoroughly cleansed in such a short period of time. And my face is of a more healthy color now…"
Some patients in the course of treatment experience toxins intensively flowing out on the surface of the skin that appears to be an aggravation of the problem . In this case the effect of the cleansing becomes apparent after the end of the treatment: skin becomes clear, and skin problems go away.

Apart from achieving good results in the course of treatment, we teach the patient to maintain the purity of their body environment at home. If the patient at home comes back to his or her old habits, after some time symptoms tend to come back. That is why it is crucially important to follow the recommendations at home.

At home the patient should aspire to: 1) make a special diet that does not cause body pollution, 2) restore and maintain effective digestive fire, 3) maintain his or her inner environment in its purity and continue to cleanse it.

Taking in Ayurvedic medications is not enough. One should systematically observe the whole set of prescribed rules until it becomes imbedded in the daily routine.

This set of rules is connected with the constitutional type of the person and his or her condition at the moment and should be prescribed by a specialist after an Ayurvedic consultation.
Often it includes the following points:
1
Completely exclude all the amagenic foodfrom your daily ration. Ayurveda finds improper food digestion responsible for body pollution, especially food that cannot be properly digested due to its nature. That is, first of all, amagenic food that has vibrations of decomposition, decay and death.
2
Do not take food before 10 am and after 6 pm.
3
Have regular fasting periods. If your work prevents you from having multiday fasts, make it at least one fasting day. For example, you had lunch at 12 am, so the next meal comes at 12 am of the next day. In between it is recommended to drink herbal tea with spices. The set of herbs and spices is prescribed in accordance with overly active Dosha that is the cause of the disease. Among often prescribed herbs are sage, thyme, calamus, burdock root, dandelion root. Among often prescribed spices are ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, fennel, coriander, mint. In general, it is better to drink only herbal tea with these spices or herbal infusions instead of other kinds of tea.
4
Make a special diet in accordance with your constitutional type. Stick to the diet that reduces the amount of Vata Dosha, Pitta Dosha, or Kapha Dosha.
5
Ayurvedic medicines are prescribed in accordance with overactive Dosha that causes the disease. The list of the often prescribed medicines includes:
· Triphala churna (powder, not pills or gelcaps) – at least one heaped tea spoon a day. Better before going to sleep. If you suffer from constipation, you can take one more spoon in the morning.
· Neem (full name Neempatti churna). Better to buy churna, i.e. powder. One tea spoon two times a day an hour or more before meal, or one hour or more after meal. If you can find only gelcaps, then open these caps and pour out the powder until you have a heaped tea spoon. It is the best cleansing and disinfection medicine for skin.
· Cleansing medicines for liver. Everything should be taken as powder: Bhumi amalaki – 2 parts, katuka – 2 parts, brahmi – 1 part, coriander – 1 part, curcuma – 1 part. Take one tea spoon two times a day, possibly together with neem. If you cannot get these ingredients, you can use Ayurvedic medicines for liver available in Russia, for example Live52 produced by the Himalaya Company (now you can find it even in a plain drugstore) or Livomap produced by the Maharishi Ayurveda Company.
· Triphala Guggul two pills two times a day.
6
Regularly visit bathhouses: procedures with sweating are highly recommended.
7
Practice yoga in accordance with your constitutional type without tension or any expectations. The more tension or expectations we have, the worse the disease will get. The most important is to learn to let go tension and expectations arise – only then ananda can manifest itself and fill body cells with the healing energy.
