Kullu - Valley of gods – is an amazing place which is usually compared to paradise on the Earth. The Beas river forms the valley. This river is named after Vyasa Rishi, the sage and seer, who lived and who carried out his tapas (secluded yoga practice) here. The drowning in the verdure of forests slopes of the Himalayas rise up from the seething mountain flow along both sides of the valley. The ringing mountain streams and creeks - inflows of Beas river - flow down the slopes. There are so many waterfalls along the road, that you get accustomed to them, although it is possible to get fully absorbed into enchanting contemplation of whimsical bends and splashes of crystal clear water of any waterfall on the way.
Some events of the legendary ancient Indian epos of Mahabharata took place here, in Kullu valley. The ways of Krishna himself and his friends and allies the Pandavas brothers - the heroes of Mahabharata - lay through this valley. Here in the sky it is possible to see all seven stars of the constellation of Ursa Major the whole year round. This land was specifically selected by ancient Arian sages - Rishis - for the understanding of godly wisdom. Their laws originated from here.
