As the first option, you can organize your transportation here by yourself – that is pretty simple if you carefully read all the instructions that are written below. Most of our patients come here by themselves, because it is much cheaper. As the second option, our center can help you to organize your transfer from Delhi to Naggar and back by any transport you prefer (plane, taxi, bus) and give you all the necessary information for your convenient and predictable travel in Incredible India.

The first step you should take is GET A VISA to enter India and BUY A PLANE TICKET from an international airport that is closest to you to Delhi and back covering the period you want to stay in India.

Even if you have at hand all the necessary documents including a hotel booking receipt that we can send you, embassy officials will find something to be wrong and demand more documents. We had several cases when our patients had to visit embassies several times, stand in queues and still get the same answer – come back with more documents. Finally, when time was pressing, they had to ask a touristic agency for help anyway. Touristic agencies bring heaps of passports to the embassies every day, so all the visas are issued quickly, smoothly and efficiently. So if you do not want to waste your precious time or spoil your nerves, apply for a visa via a touristic agency. In this case you will not need a hotel booking receipt.

But if you want to find cheaper flights, it is better to contact a touristic agency. They will recommend you the cheapest flights that are available at the moment from the professional point of view.

FROM DELHI TO NAGGAR
The options are the following: plane, taxi or bus.
1. Plane
Most of our patients prefer this means of transportation that is really the most convenient. Flight time is about 1 hour. It is easy to book and buy a ticket with a bank card via the following sites:

You need a Delhi-Kullu flight. (Still one more reason to buy a ticket by yourself: if a flight gets cancelled due to weather conditions, you will get a refund on your card without any problems. Though if you book a ticket via a touristic agency, you have less chances to get a refund.
Ticket prices tend to change from season to season. So it is better to check prices for the date you need via the sites mentioned above.
It is very convenient that in Delhi Airport a domestic flight to Kullu departs from the same terminal where international flights arrive – you will not need to move anywhere.

Upon arrival to Kullu Aiport you will have to take a taxi. It is enough to say to a taxi driver: Naggar Castle, Ragini Hotel. It takes about 1-1,5 hours to get from the airport to our center. Prices depend on the car. The cheapest one will cost about 1200 rupees. It is very easy to find a taxi in the airport by yourself, and it will also be cheaper for you. We also can send a taxi to meet you in the airport, but it will be twice more expensive, because you will have to pay the taxi driver for round trip.

Kindly Note: Weather conditions in the mountains are unpredictable. Weather can get nasty any moment. If it starts to rain, your flight will be either delayed or cancelled. We always hope that it will be clear and sunny on the date of your journey to Kullu, but it is better to have an idea of what to do if your flight gets cancelled or delayed.

If your flight gets cancelled due to weather conditions, it is better to do the following. The air company will refund the value of the ticket to those people who had to fly on this date. You should perform all the necessary actions to get the refund on your bank card and go to Naggar by taxi, because there are chances that rain won't stop by the next morning. There are stalls of different touristic agencies as well as a stall "Prepaid Taxi" inside the airport building, where you can book taxi to Naggar (you need to write down the address and landmarks for the taxi driver that are given below in the "Taxi" section). Sometimes the air company can offer you to book a taxi to Kullu. We advise you to accept this offer. But if the air company will offer you to change flight to some other airport, for example Shimla, Chandigarh, Leh etc and than go to Kullu by taxi, it is better not to accept this offer, because it will be much longer than going from Delhi to Naggar by taxi. In this case ask the air company to book a taxi from Delhi to Kullu.
We hope you will not get into such a situation − but it is our responsibility to give you all the necessary information about possible difficulties and as well as advice on how to deal with them. Some of our patients had to go to our center by taxi instead of plane – they all got here safely, though, of course, it was not so comfortable. However, if you flight departs on time, your travel will be easy and convenient.

2. Taxi
Our center can book a taxi to meet you in the airport and take you to the hotel. If there is no traffic jam, the trip will take 12 hours or more. The price depends on the size, model, and level of comfort of the car. The transfer from the airport to our hotel by Tata Indica (the smallest car) will cost about 12500 rupees. Also, being in the airport, you can book a taxi yourself via Prepaid Taxi or touristic agencies services. Usually it will cost more.

Being 30 minutes (about 20 kms) from Manali, you will need to make a turn to Patlikul and, without any further turns, cross the river Beas via bridge and go up to Naggar Castle, Ragini Hotel. Sometimes you will even spot road signs – unimaginable for India!

3. Bus
Comfortable buses from Delhi to Manali depart only in the evening and arrive at the destination point in the morning. At night a bus covers about 570 kms. So, if there will be no awful traffic jam, the whole trip will take you about 12 hours including stops for dinner, breakfast and bathroom visits. The most comfortable bus for travel is VOLVO DeLux belonging to the state company "Himachal Tourism". A ticket for a Delhi-Manali bus costs about 1400 rupees.
If you want to use "Himachal Tourism" services, you can buy the tickets on the company website via your bank card. It is better to do it in advance, because during the peak of the touristic season all the tickets for this bus are sold one month before the trip.

Or you can use services of private companies that also run buses on the Delhi-Manali route. Tickets for private buses are usually cheaper, but the buses may be not so comfortable. Though many private companies also have VOLVO buses nowadays. You can buy a private bus ticket even for this evening or the next day. The easiest way to do it is to ask a hotel clerk to book a ticket for you: commission fees are usually pretty small.
Finally you are in the bus going along Kullu. You will not need to go to the final destination point, Manali. Being about 30 minutes (20 kms) from Manali, you need to get out of the bus in Patlikul. You should mention your destination point when boarding the bus in Delhi – so that your luggage could be placed conveniently near the door. And do not forget to remind several times the driver or other passengers that you should get out in Patlikul!
In Patlikul you will get out almost at the taxi station. Take a taxi to Naggar Castle, Raging Hotel: it will cost about 300 rupees. Reach agreement on the price in advance! And 15 minutes later we will be happy to greet you in our Ragini Ayurveda & Yoga Center!
STAY IN DEHLI
If you have to stay in delhi for one day or more. A lot of our patients book hotels via the Internet, choosing the level of comfort in accordance with their budget. If the prices for these hotels are too high for you, we can recommend you several hotels where we ourselves used to stay in different years..

From the cheapest options we can recommend you two small hotels that are situated just a few steps away from each other in the Main Bazaar District, Pahar Ganj (the area where most of not too rich and not too choosy foreign solo travelers stay). If there is no vacant suite in the first one, you will definitely get in in the second. The price for a double is about 600 rupees – for that price you get a Spartan room, however, with attached bathroom and hot water.

The easiest way to get from the airport to the hotel is by taxi, using the services of Prepaid Taxi which stalls you can see inside the airport. Surely, private taxi drivers will charge you several times more. You need to give your destination address to the Prepaid Taxi stall clerk, pay for the trip according to the tariff, take your receipt and go to the platform which number is written in your receipt – there your taxi driver will meet you.
